Tall Forest Bird Count at Cosumnes River Preserve

Join ornithologists, John Trochet, as he ventures into California’s largest remaining old growth valley oak forest to catalogue the birds of the Cosumnes watershed.Public Access to this sensitive habitat is only allowed on these excursions.All you need is a strong interest in birding & appropriate dress/gear for rugged outdoor exploration.Please check website for latest information.The walk covers about 5 miles and expect to be in the field for a minimum of 4 hours.Meet at the Farm Center gate.
