Twilight
High-school student Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), always a bit of a misfit, doesn't expect life to change much when she moves from sunny Arizona to rainy Washington state. Then she meets Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a handsome but mysterious teen whose eyes seem to peer directly into her soul. Edward is a vampire whose family does not drink blood, and Bella, far from being frightened, enters into a dangerous romance with her immortal soulmate.

I can only hope that the rest of the books are as well represented in the movies. I saw the movie before I read the books, so was able to visualize certain scenes as they appeared in the movie while I read the book, and my experience was definitely enhanced by having access to both forms of the story. May take my son tonight. Glad my daughter talked me into seeing it with her! It is neither a typical teen-romance movie, nor a typical vampire flick. Very well done, had me captured from the first Biology class scene!
It was a really awesome movie i am going 2 see it again
I went into the theater with mixed view points on what the movie would be like. Let me tell you this, it turned out to be the most incredible experience! I was not expecting it to be so good. I actually went with about 14 friends, some had not even read the books and they loved it as well. Some of the elderly critics said that the effects were not that great so I was expecting them to be corny...they weren't at all. They also said the meadow scene was lacking, but I thought it was absolutely amazing! I watched in astonishment as my favorite book was brought to life on the big screen and the only thing I want is more!! The acting was incredible...you could actually feel Edwards torment in Rob's emotions. Kristen was a fantastic Bella, perfect in every way. I feel so lucky to have been able to see this movie and I will see it over and over again! Twilight has become a household name and this movie just reinforces all the hype!!!

From the sometimes-silly glower-fest known as "Twilight," Robert Pattinson emerges a movie star.
Pattinson embodies teen vampire Edward Cullen, a figure of such chiseled perfection in Stephenie Meyer's 2005 novel that he evoked a Greek god rather than a Forks, Wash., high school junior. Or rather, a statue of a Greek god, given his chilly skin, powdery complexion and capacity for complete stillness.
Though not as well-built as Edward was in the book, Pattinson is everything else, capturing Edward's intellectual and physical confidence, air of danger and yearning for Bella (Kristen Stewart),the new girl in town.
