Five-time Grammy Award-winner Al Jarreau makes his State Theatre debut immediately after his newest album Christmas hits stores nationwide. Jarreau will perform cherished holiday tunes and as well as his mega-hits including “So Good,” “Never Givin’ Up,” “We’re In This Love Together,” “Boogie Down,” and “After All”.
Called "the voice of versatility" by the Chicago Tribune, Jarreau’s innovative musical expressions have made him one of the most exciting and critically-acclaimed performers of our time. His five Grammy® Awards are in three categories: jazz, pop, and R&B. He also boasts scores of international music awards and popular accolades worldwide.
Other Jarreau gemstones include the theme from the hit TV series Moonlighting and “Since I Fell For You,” from the award-winning Double Vision album by Bob James and David Sanborn. Jarreau’s recent album, Givin’ It Up, released in 2006, features many guest artists including Herbie Hancock, Paul McCartney, Jill Scott, and Chris Botti.
