Born in Argentina in 1965, Marko Sanginetto came to the United States in 1988; he became an American citizen in 2002.
Learning the details of film making at Miami-based Picture Perfect Productions, his first foray into directing was the short film The Canary (1999). In 2001 he shot Moonshine, which was warmly received at the 2001 Oldenburg International Film festival in Germany.
After directing two music videos, in 2004 he wrote and directed the short film The Whisper. Starring Tony Danza and Sally Savalas, and financed with grants from Kodak and Panavision, The Whisper premiered at the Miami Short Film Festival.
In 2005 he and writer/producer Jim Houck founded Never Heard of 'Em Films in order to shoot The Writer, their first feature film. Shot on location in Los Angeles and Paris, this story of a struggling writer is currently in post-production.
As he works on current projects, Sanginetto divides his time between Los Angeles and Miami.
