The bright indie-pop group Standard Fruit formed around vocalist Denys Gawronski, guitarists Andrew Lowery and Clark Fisher, bassist Roger Smith, and drummer Ernie Woody. The band released a self-titled album on the Ellis Island label in 1995, but later broke up. Most of Standard Fruit later regrouped in a group called the Lulls. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
