Eddie "The Old Philosopher" Lawrence

A veteran of the Borscht Belt circuit, Lawrence quickly found his niche with his character the Old Philosopher, scoring several comedy hits and making "Is that what's bothering you, bunkie?" a catchphrase of the '50s.
