10th Annual Capay Tomato Festival
Activities at the 10th annual Capay Tomato Festival will include tomato tastings, a “Best Guest Picnic Contest,” tractor rides, local olive oil and honey tastings, petting farm animals, kids’ activities and crafts and farm camping. There will also be music by Lauren Wakefield, Miss Lonely Hearts and The Golden Cadillacs. Also on hand will be local food and drink from the Cali Love Food Truck, Tacos 911, Farm Fresh To You market stand, Fairyella Ice Pops, Luciana’s Scoop and the Pachamama Coffee Cooperative. The event will benefit the Kathleen Barsotti Nonprofit for Sustainable Agriculture.

2017 Sacratomato Week & Festival
The restaurants, bars and nightclubs in the Sutter District in Midtown present the 2017 Sacratomato Week, which culminates in a free family-friendly festival on Saturday. with creative menu options, drink specials and more. The greater Sacramento community is invited to stroll through the district all week long, visiting the venues to order and enjoy tomato-themed edibles and beverages. The festival on Saturday will take place on the grounds outside of Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park and will serve as a finale to the week, offering chef demonstrations, hands-on children’s activities, music and more.

34th Annual Sacramento Scandinavian Festival
For its 34th year, the annual Sacramento Scandinavian Festival will take place in a new location on a new date: Aug. 19 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Sacramento. The festival features Scandinavian food, baked goods and merchandise for sale. Viking re-enactors will be present with interactive activities for the whole family. Gather information about the Nordic countries and enjoy music, entertainment and door prizes.

45th Annual Sierra Nevada Arts & Crafts Festival
The 45th annual Sierra Nevada Arts & Crafts Festival will be held over the Independence Day weekend in the mountain resort town of Arnold. Situated among the pines and redwoods, the festival will feature over 60 booths of original crafts & art of all kinds: woodwork, metal sculpture, yard art, pottery, jewelry, quilts, chainsaw sculptures, soaps and spa essentials, fine art, clothing, scarves, dolls, birdhouses/feeders, fused glass plates and windchimes, hand-painted furniture, photography, kids’ toys, hats, purses, succulents and leather. There will be gourmet foods to sample, and face painting and henna for kids of all ages, as well as music by The Magnolia Rhythm Trio, preceded by the mastery of Lynx the Magician & Sword-Swallower, from San Francisco’s Pier 39. In addition, the annual Ebbett’s Pass Independence Day Parade will start at 10 am Saturday, adjacent to the festival, and the Ebbett’s Pass Lions Club will serve all-you-can-eat pancake breakfasts from 7:30-11 am both days ($8). The Ebbett’s Pass Volunteer Fire Department will be serving Calaveras County beers, as well as homemade foods and baked goods, and will hold their annual tri-tip barbecue Saturday from 6-9 pm.

7th Annual Sip & Snack at the Mac
The Galt Area Historical Society presents the seventh annual Sip & Snack at the Mac wine/food/beer event. The food and drink tasting runs from 6-9 pm, with music from 7-10. There will also be hayrides around the McFarland Ranch and tours of the McFarland Home. All proceeds will benefit the ranch.
