'Lil Mud Runner Kids & Family Mud Run 2019
Hey kids, want to play in the mud and not get in trouble? Join the 'Lil Mud Runner Kids & Family Mud Run on Mudder's (Mother's) Day Weekend again this year. Run, duck, climb, slide and crawl through the muddiest 1-mile obstacle course you’ve ever seen. Afterwards, join the family in activities such as a tube ride on the like and in the Kids Party Zone sponsored by Central Valley Party. 2019 Sacramento Food Film Festival: A Fine Line
The Sacramento Food Film Festival celebrates food and drink paired with films about our food system and benefits Food Literacy Center. This year's premier features the film "A Fine Line" by Joanna James. The documentary explores why only 6% of head chefs and restaurant owners are women, when traditionally women have always held the central role in the kitchen. Female chefs will prepare hors d'oeuvres for the audience. The price of a ticket includes a glass of champagne and a no-host bar.

2019 Sacramento Food Film Festival: Opening Night
The Sacramento Food Film Festival celebrates food and drink paired with films about our food system, and benefits Food Literacy Center. Opening night includes a multi-course meal prepared by Lucca Chef Ian McBride while you watch the film "Soufra." Soufra is the inspirational story of intrepid social entrepreneur, Mariam Shaar – a refugee who has spent her entire life in the Burl El Barajneh refugee camp south of Beirut, Lebanon.

2019 Sacramento Food Film Festival: The Kids Menu
The Sacramento Food Film Festival celebrates food and drink paired with films about our food system and benefits Food Literacy Center. At the final film of 2019, we feature a documentary about the growing problem of childhood obesity - "The Kids Menu." The event is free, but advance registration is required. The movie will be followed by a panel discussion and will include appetizers. More food and beverages will be available for purchase.

26th Annual Sacramento SPCA Doggy Dash
Celebrate the great pets in your life and help those who are still waiting to find their forever family. Day of registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and the 5k/2k walk leaves at 10. Immediately following the walk---stay and play at the Bark in the Park festival and enjoy K-9 demonstrations, contests, and more than 100 sponsor and vendor booths to visit, sample and purchase pet-friendly products and more. Register online as a team or an individual. Doggy Dash helps the Sacramento SPCA care for more than 5,000 animals annually.

This full-on Irish testicle festival is the place to be for St. Patrick’s Day, complete with music and the most outlandish St. Patrick’s Day atmosphere found west of the Mississippi. Be a winemaker for a day. AVV's Annual Spring Bash is your chance to join a team, sample components and then create a blend. Winemaker Kevin Hall will lead you through the process, then select the top blend. The winning team’s name will be featured on the next vintage of our Wine Club Reserve and each member of the team will receive a magnum of Sin Zin. The blending competition is followed by a gourmet luncheon on the Wetzel Family garden patio.
