2017 Sacratomato Week & Festival
The restaurants, bars and nightclubs in the Sutter District in Midtown present the 2017 Sacratomato Week, which culminates in a free family-friendly festival on Saturday. with creative menu options, drink specials and more. The greater Sacramento community is invited to stroll through the district all week long, visiting the venues to order and enjoy tomato-themed edibles and beverages. The festival on Saturday will take place on the grounds outside of Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park and will serve as a finale to the week, offering chef demonstrations, hands-on children’s activities, music and more.

8th Annual Red Shoe Crawl
The eighth annual Red Shoe Crawl, to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California, will include samples of culinary delights from top regional restaurants leisurely strolling from restaurant to restaurant in downtown and midtown of Sacramento. Participants are encouraged to wear red shoes in honor of Ronald McDonald's trademark footwear. Premium registration begins at noon, general registration at 1 pm.

Amador County serves as center stage for four distinctive wine and culinary regions when it presents the second annual Amador Four Fires festival at the Amador County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Calif. Celebrating four wine regions with an immersive array of activities, demonstrations and seminars, the all-inclusive event presents over 200 wines from 37 wineries, each vetted by a distinguished group of sommeliers and judges. Paired with cuisine prepared over open-flame, Amador Four Fires' offerings include grilled lamb, whole pigs, simmering paellas, seared fish and more. Proceeds go to the Amador County Fair Foundation and its Farm to Future Initiative. Tickets will be available for purchase Feb. 1 at www.amadorfourfires.com.

Beer Train
The Sacramento Beer Train is a popular favorite event on the local craft beer scene. Each trip features a live band and two beer selections from four Northern California breweries. After finding your assigned seat, you can visit any of the four tasting stations located throughout the train, each pouring two beers from a different Northern California Brewery. During the 2 1/2-hour trip, feel free to wander among the three open-air cars or return to your assigned seat in the enclosed cars to enjoy your beer. Each ticket includes the 2 1/2-hour train ride, a souvenir tasting glass and six tastes of your choice.

Blackberry Creek's 2nd Annual Barn-Raising
Blackberry Creek Farm Animal Sanctuary holds a benefit Barn-"Raising" for the second year. Each ticket includes parking and shuttle (at Colfax High School), a full dinner and dessert, music, drinks at the open bar, one entry (a $20 value) into the grand-prize raffle, a welcome gift bag, animal meet-and-greets, and a seat for Torre Washington's talk with time to ask him questions. Tickets are nonrefundable. The shuttle begins at 3:30 pm, official welcome from the founders at 4:30. The night will end at approximately 9 pm, with the last shuttle leaving the sanctuary at 10.
