11th Annual California Artisan Cheese Festival
Three days of cheese, cheese and more cheese await. Take a farm tour, sign up for a class to learn from experts, vote for your favorite Ultimate Best Bite (of cheese, that is) from the festival’s cheesemongers and restaurateurs on Friday night. Enjoy a multi-course cheesemaker dinner or see how local distilled spirits pair with cheese at Cheese & Cocktails on Saturday night. Sunday, you can experience the Bubbles Brunch and go to the Artisan Cheese Tasting and Marketplace to taste and buy cheeses from over two dozen artisan cheesemakers and dozens of artisan food producers; sample world-class wines, craft brews and ciders and much more.

3rd Annual Red Carpet Evening Fundraising Gala
For the third year, the Alexander Valley Film Society is bringing Hollywood glamour and glitz to Sonoma County with the annual Red Carpet Evening, a celebration of the Academy Awards. Film fans, families and students will have a red-carpet experience featuring student paparazzi, models, champagne, multiple wardrobe changes, local food and wine, silent and live auction lots, plus the Oscars ceremony on the big screen. There will be wines and nibbles, a silent auction, and TV event on the big screen. Patrons will enjoy an after-awards dinner designed by celebrity chef Domenica Catelli and a live auction hosted by Rick Gomez (“Band of Brothers,” “Justified”) in the historical Bank Building on Cloverdale Boulevard North. Proceeds from the evening will support the Alexander Valley Film Society’s educational and cultural programs.

All-You-Can-Eat Crab Feed
Mix and mingle with local business and community leaders at the second Annual All-You-Can-Eat Dungeness Crab Feed to benefit RainbowPAC, the nonpartisan political action committee of the Sacramento Rainbow Chamber of Commerce. The dinner includes all the fixings, beginning with a no-host cocktail reception. There will also be live and silent auctions, a dessert auction and door prizes.

Amador Four Fires
Ignite your senses! Amador County serves as center stage for four distinctive wine and culinary regions when it presents the second annual Amador Four Fires festival at the Amador County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Calif. Celebrating four wine regions with an immersive array of activities, demonstrations and seminars, the all-inclusive event presents over 200 wines from 37 wineries, each vetted by a distinguished group of sommeliers and judges. Paired with cuisine prepared over open-flame, Amador Four Fires' offerings include grilled lamb, whole pigs, simmering paellas, seared fish and more. Proceeds go to the Amador County Fair Foundation and its Farm to Future Initiative. Tickets will be available for purchase Feb. 1 at www.amadorfourfires.com.

Beer Train
The Sacramento Beer Train is a popular favorite event on the local craft beer scene. Each trip features a live band and two beer selections from four Northern California breweries. After finding your assigned seat, you can visit any of the four tasting stations located throughout the train, each pouring two beers from a different Northern California Brewery. During the 2 1/2-hour trip, feel free to wander among the three open-air cars or return to your assigned seat in the enclosed cars to enjoy your beer. Each ticket includes the 2 1/2-hour train ride, a souvenir tasting glass and six tastes of your choice.
