Murphys Witch Walk
The producers of the 5th Annual Murphys Witch Walk are proud to announce the costume festival will take place on Main Street. Fun for the whole coven, be ready to eat, drink, shop, and enjoy Main Street Murphys, but be sure to dress to impress as your best Witch of Eastwick, Harry Potter character, Maleficent, sorcerers Saruman or Gandalf, Winifred, Sarah or Mary, the witches of MacBeth or the Good Witch of the North or the Wicked Witch of the East, or whatever other fascinating fantastical mystical character you can conjure. And bring your diminutive witches, mini warlocks and assorted flying monkeys with you, because this is a family-friendly event. Leilani and the Distractions will be performing between 5 pm - 8 pm and there will be a small artisan vendor bazaar, limited to only 12 local vendors, that will run from noon to 6 pm, at the Northeast corner of Main Street and Big Trees Road outside of the Potted Plum Mercantile and Friends Real Estate at 90 Big Trees Road. The Annual Murphys Witch Walk was founded in 2016 by Teresa Rodriguez, owner of Murphys’ Potted Plum Mercantile, as a means to increase awareness, tourism and retail sales throughout the Main Street retail shopping and dining district. Since its inception, the Annual Murphys Witch Walk has grown to attract numerous costumed revelers, shoppers, families, and oenophiles to Murphys to explore, shop, dine, enjoy, and learn about this inimitable historic Gold Country town on the third Saturday of every October. The producers of the Murphys Witch Walk had big plans for the 2020 event, but regrettably, it was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 5th Annual Murphys Witch Walk will proceed as a scaled back soiree where it will be more of an "All the World's a Stage" gathering of costumed visitors where the attendees will be the show.
