Our speakers will be sharing their deepest secrets and insights to help you transform your life! • Caterina Rando’s mission is to support women to thrive through entrepreneurship. She is founder of the Thriving Women in Business Magazine, TWIB Radio, TWIB Giving Circle and the TWIB Community. Caterina has been serving women entrepreneurs for over 25 years as a master certified coach, consultant, event producer and publisher. After-School Program for Teens
The after-school program is an opportunity for young women ages 14-18 to engage with the outdoor world and deepen their connection to themselves, their environment, their health and each other. This program will build community and support teens in healthy transitions toward adulthood. Through interactions with the land, the aim is to empower young women to build inner strength and confidence, as well as learn valuable leadership and life skills. Activities will include: gardening; cooking and eating together; health and nutrition; medicinal, edible and traditional uses of plants; wild harvesting for food and medicine; wild crafted art; exploring the American River Parkway and learning about Native People of California. This program will be held the second Wednesdays of the month from September to June.

Baby Boot Camp
Baby Boot Camp is a 60-minute full body workout for prenatal & postpartum women, instructed by a nationally certified fitness professional. The environment is supportive, positive and inclusive, and the program acknowledges each mama’s individual journey to better health and wellness. Classes incorporate music, games and team-building exercises. Plus, participants will get together for different kinds of social events outside of class. Bring your yoga mat/towel and water. It's optional to bring your little ones.

Diastasis Repair Program
Baby Boot Camp’s Diastasis Repair program returns to the Sierra 2 Center. This intensive, 4-week workshop, taught by a nationally certified fitness professional with great knowledge of female biomechanics during and after pregnancy, aims to alleviate back pain, strengthen your core muscles and heal diastasis recti. Dirt, Sweat & Beers Mountain Bike & Sprint Triathlon
Show the world what you’re made of at the Eagal Lake Resort’s fourth annual Dirt, Sweat and Beer Mountain Bike & Sprint Triathlon, benefiting the Semper Fi Fund and United Way of San Joaquin. This event is open to all levels, and you can compete as an individual or join as a group. The race includes with a 400-meter swim in the resort’s private lake, an 11-mile ride traversing the river levee, and a 3.1-mile run on a tree-lined trail along the San Joaquin River with varying terrain and habitat. All participants will receive an official DSB performance shirt, a finishers medal and one free beer (must be over 21). In addition, award medals will be given to the first-, second- and third-place finishers, both male and female, in all decades, and overall first-place male and female finisher.

Family Herbalist Beginners Program
Learn the basics of Western herbology while integrating it with the systems of Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine. This six-month course will include medicine-making, plant ID, how to treat acute ailments, use of tonic herbs and food for strengthening vitality, and how to harvest local herbs for medicine. You’ll learn about your own constitutional needs and ways to balance yourself for better health and well-being. The program will include herb walks around the farm and the American River. There will be lots of tasting, smelling and hands-on experience with herbs. Topics include Introduction to Herbal Medicine and Your Ayurvedic Constitution; Making Herbal Medicine and Identifying Plants in the Garden and Wild Places; Continuing our Integration of Western Herbology and Ayurveda; Herbs and Food for Good Digestion; Herbs for Calming and Strengthening the Nerves; and Tonic Herbs for Rejuvenation and Rebuilding of Vitality. All classes will take place at Soil Born Farms except for the June 10 session, which will be held at Evergreen Herb Garden, outside of Placerville.

Homegrown Herbalism Course
This course is an opportunity to explore herbal medicine from soil to teacup. Participants will learn the basics of planning, starting and maintaining an herb garden, plant harvesting and storage, safe and sustainable collection of wild medicinal plants, making home remedies for use throughout the year, and the specific applications for several medicinal plants. This is primarily a hands-on, outdoor class, with lectures woven in. Activities will include weekly hands-on herb gardening; harvest and storage of medicinal plants; herbal medicine-making: teas, tinctures, oils, salves, foods, and more; and planning the home medicine-chest remedies throughout the year.

Intermediate Herbalist Course
This course is for those who have completed Candis’ Beginners Program or its equivalent with another school or teacher.* The intermediate curriculum continues to explore Ayurvedic and Chinese healing systems in greater depth and will cover the following topics: Digestive Problems (such as GERD, IBS and other inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract), Diabetes Type II: Prevention and Control, Nervous Debility and Exhaustion and How to Rebuild Vitality Formulation, Tongue Diagnosis, Plant ID and Medicine Preparations, Harvesting Herbs (leaves, roots, berries, bark). Instructor: Rev. Candis Cantin, Integrative Herbalist, Counselor & Teacher. Sundays, 10am-4:30pm: Mar. 26, Apr. 30, May 28, June 25, July 23 and Aug. 27. Course Fee: $695.
