'Lil Mud Runner Kids & Family Mud Run 2019
Hey kids, want to play in the mud and not get in trouble? Join the 'Lil Mud Runner Kids & Family Mud Run on Mudder's (Mother's) Day Weekend again this year. Run, duck, climb, slide and crawl through the muddiest 1-mile obstacle course you’ve ever seen. Afterwards, join the family in activities such as a tube ride on the like and in the Kids Party Zone sponsored by Central Valley Party. Fill up on delicious food and treats from our food truck vendors. Shop kid-friendly vendors. Grab your favorite cocktail or a craft beer at the Barefoot Bar.

11th Annual Sac State 5K Fun Run
The Sac State 5K Fun Run is an event for every physical level and ability! This is a run that you will love as you make your way through the California State University, Sacramento campus. This race is open to everyone! Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members of all ages are welcome to sign up to be a part of this University tradition. This year’s theme is “Saved by the 90s!” We are expected to have 1000+ runners ranging from competitive 5K enthusiasts to casual run/walkers. 2019 Race Day Festivities include a pre-race Zumba warm up and an award for the Largest Team Participation We hope that you join us for this annual event, and have a great 5K experience at Sac State!

3rd annual Stanislaus County Caregiver Resource Fair
Hosted by Community Hospice and Stanislaus County Aging & Veteran Services, the fair includes a free continental breakfast, community vendors, health screenings, opportunity prizes, and education workshops with three speakers, all free of charge. The county provides caregivers and the general community with the opportunity to participate in educational workshops, consult, and destress with professionals and peers. The fair is tailored to caregivers but seniors and others in the community may find support at the fair as well.

Movement Mondays Class: Tone Your ECS
Start the week off right with a movement class with our beloved budtender John. Movement Monday classes at Emerald Pharms are a fusion of strength and technique training, mixed with fun movement and flexibility building. The class begins with a light warm up to get the blood moving. Then we'll flow into some movement phrases for some light and fun exercise. The class will wind down with a nice, warm deep stretch. Sacramento Near-Death Experience Support Group
A new monthly near-death experience (NDE) support group, a local chapter of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (, will begin in Sacramento on October 1, 2018, 7pm - 9pm, at 2820 R Street, Sacramento, CA 95816, located at the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op's Cooking School & Community Learning Center. Admission is free and open to the public; but space is limited. The first 20 people will personally receive from Kevin Williams, webmaster of and Sacramento resident, a free signed copy of his NDE book entitled "Nothing Better Than Death." So be sure to reserve your seat soon by contacting Sacramento IANDS Group Leader Michelle Kuret through the Sacramento NDE website at Sacramento IANDS will provide regular guest NDE speakers, many of whom are internationally well known. Our first speaker will be Barbara Bartolome, founder of the Santa Barbara IANDS chapter. Barbara has had, not one, but two NDEs. Her second NDE was in 1987 during a medical procedure after which she surprised the medical staff by accurately recounting each of their actions and conversations she witnessed while outside and above her physical body. The International Association for Near-Death Studies is an educational nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide the most reliable source of information in the field of near-death studies, and to serve as a common forum and community for experiencers and interested people of all walks of life, religions, and cultures. It is the only group of its kind in the world.
