'Lil Mud Runner Kids & Family Mud Run 2019
Hey kids, want to play in the mud and not get in trouble? Join the 'Lil Mud Runner Kids & Family Mud Run on Mudder's (Mother's) Day Weekend again this year. Run, duck, climb, slide and crawl through the muddiest 1-mile obstacle course you’ve ever seen. Afterwards, join the family in activities such as a tube ride on the like and in the Kids Party Zone sponsored by Central Valley Party. Fill up on delicious food and treats from our food truck vendors. Shop kid-friendly vendors. Grab your favorite cocktail or a craft beer at the Barefoot Bar.

11th Annual Sac State 5K Fun Run
The Sac State 5K Fun Run is an event for every physical level and ability! This is a run that you will love as you make your way through the California State University, Sacramento campus. This race is open to everyone! Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members of all ages are welcome to sign up to be a part of this University tradition. This year’s theme is “Saved by the 90s!” We are expected to have 1000+ runners ranging from competitive 5K enthusiasts to casual run/walkers. 2019 Race Day Festivities include a pre-race Zumba warm up and an award for the Largest Team Participation We hope that you join us for this annual event, and have a great 5K experience at Sac State!

CA Stronger Communities: LGBTQ Suicide Prevention Conference
This full-day conference is sponsored by the Greater Sacramento chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.The goal is to raise awareness about LGBTQ suicide risk, bring research findings to the attention of professionals and the public, and explore strategies for LGBTQ suicide prevention in local communities. The agenda includes plenary and breakout sessions that feature national and local experts on LGBTQ mental health and suicide risk and will be focused on making mental health, suicide prevention, and education an LGBTQ community priority. Pending approval, the following CE credits will be available for licensed clinicians. National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) – 5 hours National Association of Social Workers (NASW) – 5 hours

Compassionate Living & Dying Symposium
This event will be interactive and educational, with Speakers and Compassionate Conversation Circles, addressing how to live a fuller, more meaningful and compassionate life, while also recognizing and honoring our own mortality. Keynote Speaker will be Alua Arthur, Death Doula and owner of Going With Grace and Laura Hansen of Chill Sacramento. A portion of our proceeds will be donated to Joshua's House, a hospice for the homeless located in Sacramento. Marlene von Friederichs-Fitzwater PhD, MPH will share her moving story. We will have the following Compassion Stewards - Michele Mariscal, David Dowdy, Pauline Haynes, Myra Bennett, Judy Guadalupe, JG Gonsalves, Kelly (Osmont) Lonigan MSW, Paige Chatfield, Sarah K. Grace, Mustafa Sage Alit-Mahgoub and Brenda Gustin. Start the week off right with a movement class with our beloved budtender John. Movement Monday classes at Emerald Pharms are a fusion of strength and technique training, mixed with fun movement and flexibility building. The class begins with a light warm up to get the blood moving. Then we'll flow into some movement phrases for some light and fun exercise. The class will wind down with a nice, warm deep stretch.
