On Friday, May 9th, @ 8PM NuReign Productionz and its sponsors will ignite the Sacramento nightlife scene and infuse it with their signature blend of creative fusion! Imagine, if you will, a cutting edge Arts & Entertainment Company coming together with the ultimate Wine & Nightlife Tour Company, and 1 of only 2 Premier Urban Wineries in downtown Sacramento.
Merging Sacramento's Wine and Arts communities with the Local & International Poetry/Spoken Word Scene, Wine & Wordz hosts the OFFICIAL West Coast CD release & listening party for internationally acclaimed poet, Ainsley Burrows. Ainsley Burrows has performed at festivals, cafés and institutions across Europe, America, Canada and the Caribbean, receiving numerous awards. These include Best International Performer of 2001 and 2002 from the Farrago Poetry Café in London, Munich's International Poetry Slam Championship award in 2001 and awards from the Nuyorican Poet's Café in 2001 (for participating in the National team) and in 2004 (for being the Coach of the National team). In addition, Ainsley has conducted many workshops from London's Hackney Community College to New York's Julliard School of Music. Many have followed his career which is set to explode with the release of this, his fifth recording entitled, "EVOLVER". Wine & Wordz is the first opportunity the west coast will have to preview this exciting body of work... and EVERYONE attending the event will receive a personally autographed copy of the "EVOLVER" CD.Wine & Wordz launch nite on May 9th at Rail Bridge Cellars, a venue lined with the artwork of local artisans, will mark the beginning of a monthly event that will provide more than just entertainment in the traditional sense. A perfect blend of networking, live music, poetic performances, wine tasting, and light fare make Wine & Wordz @ Rail Bridge Cellars the perfect Art-mosphere for the Urban Professional to unwind. Hosted by Phoenyx Reign & Will Whitlock, this event is strictly for the grown and sexy urbanite! Wine & Wordz will awaken and intrigue your artistic senses, and please your discriminating palette, leaving you fully satisfied at evenings end! Admission cost for the event is $20.
