Slavyanka A Cappella Choir

Slavyanka, the name early Russian settlers in California gave to the river today known as the Russian River, also is the name of a noted a cappella choir formed by several former members of the Yale Russian Chorus in 1979. The ensemble's repertoire draws mostly from Russian sources, such as Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov. In 1986, 1989 and 1999 it toured what was then the Soviet Union and performed for historically its largest and most appreciative audiences. This should be a real audience pleaser.
