We came here about 2 years ago for a birthday party and had a blast, we thought it would be fun to come here again, but things have changed now. It took us over an hour to get in because there was only one ticket booth open and then we had to drive through 3 different movies to get to our movie, very confusing. Then we made the mistake of buying food from the snackbar, all I can say is don't. It was not fresh, the place was understaffed, dirty and not very friendly. I dont know how they got a good rating from the health dept, payoff maybe? The bathrooms are so gross that they can only be compaired to the conditions at a nazi prison camp, again I say payoff? After all this we decided to complain to the manager, big mistake, we tried to tell him about our concerns and was escorted out of the building by security and told to watch the movie or leave. We demanded a refund so we could leave after missing the first movie and were told no refunds. My family and friends will never go back or go to anything owned by west wind.

****DO NOT GO TO SACRAMENT WEST WIND DRIVE THRU - YOU WILL GET HARASSED BY SECURITY**
Went with girlfriend to see Pineapple Express and was expecting lots of laughs. Seth Rogan is hilarious!
Bought tickets and $15 worth of food to go with my expectations of merriment. So we went from the concession stand to Lot 6. We were trying to get the best spot and found that we were being tailgated by another car with its lights on. We were bewildered. So we found our spot and turned the dial to the opening credits of the movie. The car trailing us was a buzz cut russian security guard named Alex. He asked us for our reciept. At first we objected towards getting questioned as we were watching the movie. Then we looked for the receipt because Alex would not leave. So then he said to leave. My girlfriend and I were shocked because we paid and had to leave.
We drove to the ticket stand and the ticket cashier vouched for our ticket purchase. At this time however we were missing the movie and felt we got robbed by this idiot security guard. Alex the security was not apologetic and felt justified in what he did. Derek the manager (who is incredibly short sighted) came over and explained how this GUILTY TILL PROVEN INNOCENT was proper. Said that he has a lot of "black" people who try to sneak in so he has to be really tough. He took a hard line and had a no excuses policy. Derek did not give a damn. Derek explained that what the security guard does is independent of customer service.
I spent $29 not including gas. Fucking Alex and Derek owe me. The food was to be eaten at the movies and we did not see the movie because I had to spend the entire time arguing with Alex and Derek.
We left incredibly upset because this idiot security guard Alex ruined our entire Saturday night. We will never go back.
MOVIE SEEKERS SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA AND GO TO A WALK IN THEATRE - YOU'LL GET BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A BETTER MOVIE EXPERIENCE.

My family and friends look forward to the drive-in every Saturday night. It started as a nostalgia night so my 8 and 9-year old could see the way we watched movies when we were kids, that was over a year ago. We had a blast and started spreading the word and before long about 13 of us had become a group of drive-in junkies. We even had an end of school pot luck when Kung Fu Panda opened with over 30 people in attendance! None of us mind paying the $1 they recently began charging especially if it will help keep the drive-in open. The pizza delivery feature is pretty good too with a decent price and edible pizza. And what can I say about customer appreciation night twice a year with free admission, $1 nachos and some of our old favorites playing (we really enjoyed Grease and ET) except that it would be better to do it on Friday instead of Thursday. The only bad things and I have to mention them is the bathrooms (ugh) need to be repaired and maintained better (cleaning them and restocking the paper products during the evening would be nice)and the fact that some screens seem to be darker than others making night scenes in the movie hard to see. With all that said we still think it's a bargain and a wonderfully nostalgic slice from a simpler time in life before video games and two income families! I hope they don't take this away from us too!!

We visited this drive in on July 5th for my birthday. Our plan was to see Hancock and the Don't Mess With the Zohan (a movie we've been wanting to see). We checked the times online with Sacbee.com and saw the Hancock was playing at 8:55 and Zohan was at 10:55. We drove an hour to get there as we live in Pollock Pines. Imagine our disappointment when we were all set to watch Zohan as our second movie and they played Hancock again. We were not the only patrons unhappy with this. the staff was unwilling to change the movie to what the viewers were expecting. They gave us tickets to return, but with the cost of gas, this was a special occasion for us and I doubt we get the chance. The times we were expecting are advertised all over the internet. Shouldn't they return my money? I am very unhappy. I'm out $25 and a half tank of gas and I didn't get to see the movie I wanted.
