Three Monkeys Restaurants are built on three driving principles - quality, value and service. Always staying true to those three principles, we roll out our exciting menu concept "modern American" to delight our customers in state of the art spaces that provide a relaxed, refined, but most of all fun experience. "Modern American" - classic American, European, and Asian cuisine can all be enjoyed prepared and served in their traditional form by our Master Chef, our Executive Sushi Chefs and our talented kitchen staff. Exceptional steaks, sushi, pasta, salads, sandwiches and more can all be found at one serving ensuring everyone finds one of their favorites. We are committed to serving only the finest in quality foods most of which are provided by local suppliers. We have specialty meats and cheeses, freshly baked breads, the freshest of seafood for our kitchen menu and sushi bar that are sure to please. Our kitchen is trans-fat free, uses organic products whenever possible and all of our desserts are made from scratch. Our downtown Sacramento facility offers a tree-covered patio, dining room, a large bar with state of the art audio/video equipment, sushi/yakitori/tempura bar, a private dinning room "the blue room", and space for live entertainment. We also offer our Monkey Express Shop which provides quality pre-made food from our menu for a fast, friendly, take-out lunch as well as call-in and catering food services. You can order and pay online here at at our website. With seating for 280 people, we love to host groups of any size. Please give us a call, check us out online, or better yet come in and experience what Three Monkeys is all about! And even shop in the express store while you enjoy our bar or dine. We are proud to offer the largest steak in town, the only sushi bar with an exhibition Yaki Tori grill, the longest happy hour all in the largest privately owned restaurant.

 12/5/08 - Sacramento Bee

For years, there's been optimistic talk about revitalizing the K Street Mall. Though strides have been made, frankly a stroll on the strip can be dicey, especially after dark.

On the positive side are the first-rate lunch and dinner houses that line the mall – the Esquire Grill, the Broiler, Ella, the Pyramid Alehouse and restaurateur Randy Paragary's new Cosmopolitan complex.

Then there's the eclectic Three Monkeys, an interesting 10,000-square-foot space that opened last year. It's the home of the $12 Ultimate Martini.

Recent history: Three business partners were the original "monkeys" who founded the restaurant, later joined by a fourth partner. (Full review)

Three Monkeys -- Fusion

723 K St., (916) 441-4860: A large but secluded space along K Street Mall has been transformed into a celebration of Sacramento both old and new. The extensive menu draws from cultures as varied as the southern United States (pulled-pork sliders), Mexico (quesadillas and tacos), Bavaria (bratwurst and sauerkraut), Chicago (numerous steaks) and Japan (sushi).

3 Monkeys

Great concept but the execution is lacking. Noisy and food is only ok. Tried them 2 times. Not going back.

Food Good - Service Sucks!

On top of that, Management is indifferent. We tried Three Monkeys shortly after it opened during an "Eating the Grid" promotion. Our waiter promptly took our orders, brought drinks, then disappeared for almost an hour! The food, when it arrived, was excellent. I wrote a letter to complain, but never received the courtesy of a reply. Sacramento has lots of excellent restaurants with great food and great service, this isn't one of them, skip it.
