Sacramento Banana Festival

I was excited about the idea and concept of a banana festival however I was surprised that there was a charge to get in $5 and no one could tell me what the money was to benefit - a non-profit etc and no signage explained that either. Once inside there were just random vendors selling stuff many having nothing to do with bananas or cultures that have traditionally used bananas. Lots of sugary and fattening junk food for sale. All the activities for kids required additional money ($1 for 5 min in the jump house!) it would be one thing to pay for the jump house if it we had not paid $5 to get in or if it was obvious that it would benefit a charity and what charity it benefited.
