A show must see

I brought my daughter to see this show a couple of times. Both she and I loved this show a lot. Everything is fantastic. A very up-lifting show with heart-touching internal power and beauty.

Great Performance

I have been going to Shen Yun's show for a few years. Every time, they always managed to surprise me with a new production. I'm always left with nice memories of beauty, grace and courage of the stories. Especially the stories of what's happening in China right now. They have the guts to tell the stories and the grace to portray it so well.

BEWARE!

Friends in Sacramento: Do yourself a favor before you set down your money for this show. Search beyond the fluff reviews and find the real ones that describe this as "creepy," "tacky," "propaganda." I got suckered into taking my daughter in Portland. I know a bit about China, and I was appalled by the cult propaganda that drives this program. It is a Falun Gong diatribe against PRChina. Though I had sympathies with the Falun Gong's plight before last night, they were destroyed by this heavy-handed, mindless show. This is a cult fund-raiser/recruiter, and carried by pure hype.

This show was promoted heavily for weeks before the performance at malls and WalMarts, though local arts organizations seemed to distance themselves. I see why now, and I wish I hadn't been such a sucker.
