Women’s Wisdom Art: Open House Holiday Show

Women's Wisdom Art (WWA) has been in existence since 1991. For nearly 22 years WWA has helped countless women experiencing hardship in their lives. The empowering qualities of creating art are used to help women who are experiencing health issues ranging from cancer and stroke to depression.
The umbrella group that has been sponsoring us for the past 12 years has decided to refocus their resources. Our last day of classes was June 15. This has left a huge void in the community for women recovering… Show more from everyday traumas. The efforts by the original WWA founder, Laura Ann Walton, and some very dedicated volunteers lead by Helen Plenert are continuing the program to fill this gap. As a result our program has reorganized independently.
Considering the plummeting economy, we have an even greater need for our program. We receive referrals from local hospitals and doctors on a weekly basis. We re-opened September 1st at the Slider community center at 7851 35th ave., Sacramento Ca. 95824.
