Fine Dining Experience
A well rounded menu offering. Excellent food and service. Elegant/romantic atmosphere inside and outdoors (weather permitting). All four of us had an excellent dining experience. Prices are reasonable for this class of restaurant and service. Parking is limited to valet ($7), metered (25 cents for 12 minutes, 2 hour max), or public lots ($5-$10 flat fee) as of 5pm on a Saturday.

In reciting the night's specials, the server neither flinched nor lowered her voice when she revealed the price for the Maine lobster tail and filet mignon: $58.
Imagine that. When other restaurants are trying various strategies to stay afloat during troubled economic times, including smaller portions and prices, the Firehouse is gamely hanging on to its reputation as the most luxurious dining destination in the region.
Good for it. I have no interest in a $58 surf-and-turf special, but I do appreciate the fortitude and optimism it represents. The Firehouse long has been seen as the dotty Victorian aunt among the city's elite restaurants, playing to lobbyist nephews and old loyalists who return once a year for an anniversary dinner or Mother's Day brunch
