On June 26, 2008, I ordered 3 shots of liquid cocaine (LC) from Vinny. He gave us 3 shots of LC in half a shot glass. We paid full price for that and previously, we had ordered LC and we were getting them in cups halfway filled. We asked him why we had to pay $8 for those shots when it was half a shot glass. He didn't respond and said that if we said one more word, we would be kicked out. So we had to say something because that was not what we ordered. I understand that if that was what we were getting the whole night, I would not be complaining. BUT, that was not the portion we have previously gotten from him and the other bartenders. Eventually, we got kicked out.
The point I am trying to get across here is that I thought the customers were always right. He could have gotten upset but we had been waiting there on the counter for a long time and it was not that busy. He went to help out another customer and we just stated that we had been waiting before the other customer had shown up. He kept telling us that he would get to us but when he did, it was not "fair" service. Still, we are the customer and I was just asking for a clarification as to why we were getting a drink that was half a shot. Before and after getting kicked out, we asked for the manager of Barcode. The other point is that I have been a regular customer at Barcode (and way before when it was the Rage). I have been known to spend a lot of money there on drinks to have fun with my friends. It has always been a good place to hang out and have fun until tonight. If I can get a good, reasonable response as to why this happen, then I will be fully satisfied. Thanks for your time.
The above was the same sent email to Barcode, and I have not heard a reply yet. I'm hoping that my friends will read this and repost it. If we stand as an asian community as a whole and not go to Barcode on Thursdays for a couple of weeks, Barcode will lose money! I am not trying to get money, nor try to be acknowledged. All I want is for Vinny to admit he was wrong and hope that the service at Barcode is what we really pay for. Thanks to all that are on my side and do what I have asked--it really means a lot to me.
